That does not mean that black people do not have pride in themselves anymore. Maybe they want to have productive lives and be successful, not being poor and on welfare.
And I am not saying that it is just blacks who are poor. There are a lot of poor whites and most of them got pregnant when they were still in high school.

What do you mean “try to act white as possible” are you saying that any black person that is educated and doesn’t talk in ghetto slang is trying to be white. Why can’t some black people be this way without whites/blacks accusing them of acting white? I am educated and I don’t talk in ghetto slang my friends always tell me I sound like a white girl…but I watch BET, and I listen to R&B and I am black and will always be black. And I am proud of my culture and who I am so stop stereotyping all black people.

I’m 50% African American, and sometimes it’s not all that great. At school most African Americans keep their pants low and act like “gangsters” and don’t have a high grades. I keep my grades at all A’s and people treat me like dirt sometimes. Sometimes it’s not great to be even part black like me because people sometimes think I’m poor. But I just keep my head high and not let them get to me.

i’d say you’d have an opposite for every point youve just made…. for instance, there are millions of white people who try to be more like black people.

also, there may be some black people who act in the way you describe, but generally some PEOLE just act that way. not necessarily because of their race,

i think your question should be “why do stupid people not have more pride in themselves”

I do not know why that is so. Probably because the other half of ameria has finally succeeded in brain washing them.
Lets be realistic here though, how are all black things portrayed in America. Unless he is singing or playing sports he is a nobody.
As for me i am black and i am proud.
I do not care about anything else. I am not american either.

What dream world are you living in? I’m extremely proud of myself and my siblings. You take statements (that I have a hard time believing) and infer what YOU want out of it, Passing for white? What year are talking about? Do not make up crap to verbalize your own ****** feelings.

I get really sick of this kind of nonsense. Where do blacks get the idea that speaking clear English is a white thing? Why is it I can understand the speech of a black man from South Africa better than I can understand the average black man from the ghetto? Pride is a matter of self respect and respecting others, it has nothing to do with the color of the skin. What is acting white? Why are you so against black people conducting themselves like mature adults that dress respectfully, speak clearly, and don’t buy into the slavery victimology generated by black racists like Jesse.

Maybe they’re trying to set themselves apart from all the NEGATIVE stereotypes surrounding black culture. I’m white myself, and I **** it when some ignorant white fool like Kid Rock glamorizes drugs, crime, and dangerous and foolish living.
And if I were black, I would not be proud at all of the “gangsta” culture that worships all the same negative and destructive things, and promotes ignorance. Some people just want to rise above all that and get what they need in life without having to destroy other people’s lives to get it.

Maybe they are too busy being doctors, lawyers, accountants, Secretary of State, and accomplishing too many other things in their lives to be hangin’ with you and talking about how BLACK they are!!!! You sound like the terrorists killing their own for wanting more out of life……So, instead of being jealous, get a life.

I’m sure there is some truth to what you are saying. I see it in my everyday life also. Its actually pretty sad. I am VERY proud of who I am.
1- black vs. white schools… technically, the white schools usually are a little better than the predominately black schools. They have many more resources. That doesn’t have so much to do with race, then geographical issues. Nicer areas tend to have better schools. More urban areas, the schools are not as good.
2- American society basically teaches us that black is not beautiful. The lighter the skin, the better you are. Nappy hair isn’t pretty, so you have to perm it straight and put a weave in it. ETC. Personally, I am just the opposite. I like sitting in the sun just to get a little bit darker. And, I also made the decision NOT to relax my hair anymore. I choose to embrace my heritage and go natural.
3- as far as the black/ white couple… that just goes to show how our society has an effect on a lot of people and what they think.

I love being black! There are still some of us out there!

I love being the black that I am. But I went to an all white school and didn’t like it cause I didn’t learn anything. I’m quite diverse and don’t look down or up to any race. I try to respect all cause if there’s one way to enjoy life is to love yourself and have peace with others. No matter what race they are. But there are actually people of every race who are proud of who they are and wouldn’t trade it for anything

There has never been A ONE UNIFIED GROUP WHO IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES BY THE TERM BLACK that’s a European ****** creation. Dealing with mankind on the basics of skin color is the doctrine of the devil.

In Order to deny the truth, they created a lie. They took one indigenous tribe in Africa who still had traditional or what they call primitive culture and said this is how ALL black skin people are. They all wear plates in the lips, swing from trees, don’t have a written language etc.

By doing this they said the ancient Egyptians, Ethiopians, Hebrews, couldn’t have been black, because they could write and build great things, so they lumped all black skin people together and called us African, black, and Negroes. They called the Egyptians, Ethiopians and Hebrews, white. Even though as scripture tells us the Egyptians & Ethiopians were brothers both descendants of Ham. The name Ethiopia means burnt or black face.

Today you have so called black scholars using the same terminology the gentiles ****** created in order to deceive us.

You have been fooled into thinking you have made progress because you refer to yourself as African or black, instead of Negro, or ******. You have not made any progress, calling yourself black and African is the same as calling yourself Negro and ******. They are all bywords and proverbs they still don’t explain who you are. The people on the continent of Africa don’t buy into the Gentile ****** doctrine of all being one nation because we all have similar skin color. They see themselves as different nations and always have.

When you call yourself black what does that mean? What is a black? Black does not constitute a nationality or culture. It is something that was created to keep you ignorant of your true Identity. Every man on earth is describe by his nation (Nationality), Chinese are people from China, Irish are people from Ireland, Polish are people from Poland, Mexicans are People from Mexico, Blacks are people from where? Black is a word that should be used to describe a noun. A black car, black skin, black hair, black book etc. When you use black nationalist what does that describe?

But what is the true nationality, language, religion and culture of the so called African Americans tell me if you can?

What do you have to be proud of? Whites are responsible for all the greatest technical/cultural achievements in human history.
