Well my first response would be go to the beautyshop..if you are a black woman it’s just a part of our lives to pay to have our hair taken care of…If you still want to grease your hair at home I would suggust not greasing your hair..because it weighs the hair down…. I would get Keri Care products or Dudley’s Products which you can buy at any hair store…remember the less you do to your hair the more pretty it will look…purchase some rollers ..once a week wash your hair with a conditioning shampoo…and roll with setting lotion (add water to make it a light blue) set under the hairdryer until set and wrap around your head and use a scarf (silk) perm it once a month…use oil not grease..part your hair in four sections and oil your scalp…dont over use..because we dont have to wash our hair everyday so the oil will gradually reach all the hair…..OR GO THE BEAUTYSHOP budget that in every month to go twice a month..you also need a trim every eight weeks…to make your grow…my hair is beautiful..and the only person i can thank is my beautitian…

Its KeraCare I think that she was trying to say. I used that grease on my scalp before and it worked really well. It actually smells good not like regeular grease and it also is very light.

Please DO NOT use any grease with petroleum in the ingredients– usually it’s a byproduct of actual petrol/gas= yuck.

Lots of beauty stores like Sally’s Beauty Supply sell olive oil sprays and such.

Bottom line, it’s best to stay away from products that are stiff and greasy. Instead try to use products that are liquid.

Chemicals from perms, dyes, etc. can lead to breakage.

Eat foods rich in vitamin E for hair and nail maintenance, reduce stress, reduce use of chemicals on hair, use natural oil-based products instead of hard grease, and of course wash and condition your hair- not excessivley too much because that also leads to breakage and overdrying most African American hair.
